Edie M. Koch

Founder and original mentor of Basics-2-Bylines (East), Edie M. Koch, died unexpectedly in the fall of 2021. We were numbed to learn of her passing. Edie captained our writers’ ship for many years. Her willingness to share her skills and talent will never be forgotten. “Thank you” is too small an expression for the gratitude of the many writers she coached.

Rest in peace, dear friend. Rest in peace. You will be remembered.

Jack Colocousis

Our group was also shocked on hearing of Jack’s death in the spring of 2022. Jack was educated at Boston University where he received his AA and BS degrees, moved on to State College of Bridgewater for his Masters, and continued with post-graduate studies at URI, U. of Vermont, U of NH, and more work at Boston University.

He was a trainer with Xerox Corporation and Savin Corporation where he had also held management positions, such as Western Regional Manager in Palo Alto, California to Director of Marketing in Toronto and VP, General Manager with companies in Western NY.
